This Month:

During the next few weeks we are going to talk about change.  We always like change that lasts so we will  be looking at how we can keep the change.  Change isn't easy.  Whether it is getting your finances in order or changing a habit; maybe it is losing weight or getting in shape; perhaps it is a change in your spiritual life.  We will be talking and praying about how to make lasting changes.  Out with old habits and breathing new life in to new areas.  Stick around for this series FOR A CHANGE.

to know christ and make him known

Minimize

We, the people of First United Methodist Church, worship the Living God. We share the good news of the risen Christ through collective worship and by ministering to our neighbors both in Paris, Texas and around the world with our time, talents, and prayers.

All Sunday school classes have the opportunity to gather in the fellowship hall at 9:00 am for donuts, coffee, and fellowship. Sunday school classes are encouraged to begin at 9:30 am and to gather in the sanctuary at 10:30 am for worship.

Adult and youth Sunday school classes meet in the main church building.  Children's Sunday school classes meet in the Children's Ministry Building, also called the 'Little Ark' building.

cooks needed

Minimize

It is a well-known fact that there are a lot of good cooks in our church family; and some of you are REALLY GOOD BREAD MAKERS!  So, having said that, we would like for all of you who make bread of ANY kind: White, Wheat, German, etc. bring some to church on Sunday, October 3 for World Communion Sunday.  This bread will be placed on the altar table, and used as needed for the Communion service.  Please plan to participate in this service so that you can enjoy the blessing of being a blessing to others, and most especially glorifying our Heavenly Father in accepting and celebrating what He has done for each of us.  Also, this act of service will be utilizing one of the many talents God has given us.

Thank you so much for contributing to this special service.

God’s Grace and Peace to Each of You.
